Welcome to the

BARNABAS MINISTRY!!!

The Barnabas Ministry is named after the biblical character in the book of Acts who assisted people in ministry. In Acts 11:23 the Bible states that, When he (Barnabas) arrived and saw the evidence of the grace of God, he was glad and encouraged them all to remain true to the Lord with all their hearts. Barnabas is described as a good man, full of the Holy Spirit and faith. In the same way, members of the Barnabas ministry are good people, full of the Holy Spirit and faith and always ready to encourage others in their faith.

It is our deliberate purpose, as we meet new converts and other Christians interested in uniting with ESC, to encourage them, support them and help them to navigate their Christian walk toward maturity in Christ. The purpose of the Barnabas Ministry is to be the heart, hands, feet, voice and image of Christ locally as well as in our community. It is our goal to build a strong community, to serve others and to get closer to God.

WALK IN GOOD CHARACTER EVERYDAY!

Every Barnabas Member must have CHARACTER

Character is described as what you do when no one is looking. As we are the first contact with New Member Candidates, they are watching what we do and say whether we notice it or not. Ephesians 4:22-24 says, You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.
